We had a great time in Sunriver, like always. On the way up, we decided to spend the night halfway and go to church in the morning at a branch where Jon served as a missionary. It was really neat. It was a tiny branch out in the boonies with probably about 30 members in sacrament meeting. The man he baptized was the Branch President. They have 3 children and 2 of them spoke about their experience in seminary. It was really awesome. Their seminary experience was so different from ours in that it was just the two of them and they would drive every morning over to their seminary teacher's house. They owned their experience. They learned so much as they searched the scriptures together each morning. It was neat to see their family strong in the gospel. They told us we need to come another time and stay for dinner.

Summer Vacation
This was our first year at Sunriver, staying in two houses. It turned out o.k. We ate our meals together. We were next door to each other so everyone still went back and forth easily. The houses were on the golf course - which was a beautiful view. The kids liked going out on the golf course at night and playing. At times, if the coast was clear, we'd dash across the golf course during the day to get to the mall. It was quicker that way. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
