Jon's grandparents both passed away last summer. The extended family had done a pretty good job of getting together every summer to spend a day with each other. We were not usually there because it was a long ways to come for a day and we had usually done a lot of traveling already. However, after they passed away, the family all talked of getting together again the following summer and Jon said, "We'll be there!"
Well, by the time August rolled around, we found out that Carter had a mandatory band camp and would not be able to come. We decided I'd stay home with Carter and Kate and Jon would take the middles. There was a little complaining - mostly from the teenager (Becca) about not wanting to miss being with her friends, and it's a long way to drive, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Anyway, we knew they would have fun. They love being with their cousins and always have fun together. Sure enough - they had a really fun weekend. Jon's parents were in charge of the reunion and rented some blow up bouncy house things and put them in the gym at church. They had a great time. Becca ended up being the ultimate Photobomber and loved it. Here are some pics:
