Cherries, Cherries, Cherries!

Here's a picture of Carter on the top of my parents' roof - picking cherries with Jon. He loves it - and if we're there every year at just the right time - he and Jon climb on top and pick away. YUM YUM YUM!
Jon took some pictures of my parents' backyard, while he was supposedly picking cherries from the roof. We love my parents' backyard - the kids love to explore and play back there. This shot shows the oak tree which is several hundred years old. Hanging from the oak tree is the famous Hammock Swing. The kids will spend hours on the swing, taking turns. It swings really high. Kudos to my dad for somehow hanging that swing up on a high limb - dad - you're amazing.
This half of the backyard shows my mom in the garden with some fruit trees next to it. You name it, they grow it and the kids are out there every day checking to see what's ripe and unfortunately for my mom and dad, they eat all of the ripe berries they can find. Thanks mom and dad.
On our way to Sunriver, we stopped at a campground that we used to camp at as a family when we were younger. It was really fun to walk around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings - wow - it's amazing!
A river running through the campground.
When we just got to our home in Sunriver, Kate thought it'd be fun to have the biggest blowout she'd ever had - we had to even take the carseat covers off and throw them in the wash. Here she is getting a bath in the sink - as happy as a clam!

Dawn, I really look forward to your posts. Love the pictures with the comments. Do the girls climb on your folks' roof too to pick cherries? Carter sure looks like he's having a grand time! It just goes to show that there's a silver lining associated with everything we do...Kate looks so happy and cute in the sink. Hope the car made it through the experience.

The girls always "think" they want to climb on top of the roof, but once they're up there, they are really scared and it's hard to get them down because they're somewhat freaked out.

Your parents yard looks great! I actually go over to moms on my day off just so I can sit in her garden and read. Mine is just not that exciting. I don't seem to have the passion for it like she or your parents do.

Your new little one is awfully cute! =) I love it when they start getting their little personalities!
