Kate spent her first birthday at her Grandma and Grandpa Jones' home. We had a wonderful time, as always. It was a busy weekend full of exciting events like Abbie's baptism and Uncle Joe's graduation from BYU, and lots of play time with grandparents and cousins - what could be more fun than that!
This turned out to be one of Jon's favorite cakes that he's made! It turned out pretty cute. Kate LOVES kitty cats! As the pictures below depict, we have recently learned that Kate LOVES chocolate cake probably MORE than kitty cats!
Present time!
We bought kate a stuffed monkey for her birthday. The kind that has velcro on it's arms and can wrap around your neck. Becca has a pink one at home and Kate kind of confiscated it for her own. She loves to play with the soft velcro side and rub it under her nose and pull at it with her fingers. She was pretty excited to see her own monkey!
One of Kate's favorite presents - 3 tennis balls from the dollar store! She immediately put it up to her nose and started doing what she loves to do - rub the fuzzies under her nose while she makes a sucking face with her tongue. Happy Birthday Kate!!

Fun times! Do you think we could hire Jon to make Logan's birthday cake? He's got some cake decorating talent!

That is a awesome cake and a beautiful little girl.
I'm afraid if Stephen were here he would tell Evan all about the Spiderman school he attends. He might even show him some moves.
