Here's a picture of our house at Sunriver. This was our second year staying in this house. We'd love to stay here again, but according to the fire codes(?), we're getting too large in number for this house. One of the things we've really enjoyed is that it is pretty close to the river . The bike rides along the river in the evening are beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing, probably one of my favorite things to do! We had a special surprise this year. My cousin, Aaron, his wife Jani and their two kids Cameron and Alyssa were going to be in the area visiting Grandpa and some other relatives so they came and stayed a few nights with us. It was so much fun!! The kids loved getting to know Alyssa and Cameron. It was fun to play games at night with Aaron and Jani. We learned that Aaron is a competitive guy!!! :)
Kate really liked the wooden bears at the entrance to the house!
One fun thing about Sunriver is that the animals have NO FEAR. Jon took a picture of this chipmunk when we got back from hiking Benham Falls. We were all sitting at the picnic table and someone put some trail mix on the table and pretty soon a chipmunk comes along, didn't seem to mind a bit that we were sitting right there. When you ride your bikes around Sunriver, there are deer everywhere and you ride your bike 5 feet away from them and they just look up at you and then keep on eating. One year, Jon approached a deer in the back yard of the home we were staying at, with some potato chips in his hand and the deer ate them - I couldn't believe that!
Here we are hiking Benham Falls. Oregon is so beautiful!
Me, Kate, and Emma.
Evan striking his most handsome smile in front of the river.
Here's a picture of Kate playing at the park. We like to all go to the park together one day and play on the playground, play a little baseball, frisbee, etc - this year some of the kids played croquet. It was fun to be together. Thanks to uncle Brent for pitching to everyone and letting us hit - that was fun.
Becca on the slide. Malia and Cole are in the background.
Carter concentrating hard.
I don't know what you think - but this looks like a posed picture to me? Jon took it. I'm not sure what they were supposed to be doing, but I thought it was cute anyway. Evan, Becca, Malia and Emma.
Carter was soooo excited to go on a little adventure with just dad one morning. They headed out to hike Lava Butte. They both had a lot of fun and said we should all go do it next year.

Here's a picture of the Cascade Mountains.
Jon and Carter ran into Jani and Cameron at the Country Store on their way to Lava Butte and they decided to come along!
This picture of Emma just shows that some things never change!
Is this the cutest thing you ever saw or what? Kate giving Logan a kiss. She was pretty fascinated with him. It will be fun when they get a little older and can actually play together!
Logan saying, "Thank-you for the sweet kiss."
Emma and Alyssa giving good-bye hugs.
Friends. Can you believe they're in the same grade? Alyssa on the tall end and Emma on the short end.
Cousin Birthday Party.
